The health, safety and welfare of these people directly contribute to the health, safety and welfare of the business. The Collins Group has developed specific policies as part of the Company’s work, health and safety and general business management at a corporate and operating level.

Workplace Health and Safety

Under the WHS Act 2011 and WHS Regulation 2011 the Collins Group is implementing a WHS system that incorporates all issues addressed in both the act and the regulation.

This includes a Workplace Health & Safety Manual, Safety Work Method Statements, Material Safety Data Sheets, Risk Management and Risk Assessment, training, induction and workplace consultation.

All our workplaces have an employee and employer safety representative, which have been trained on WHS issues by an accredited Work Cover Course.

Furthermore, the Collins Group provides all the necessary facilities and training for all employees to ensure that their health and welfare is safe and without risk. This includes First Aid facilities, PPE, induction training and constant information on hazards, risks or changes in the workplace or on the work activity.
